LAHORE : The Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh arranged a role signing ceremony in the historical library hall of King Edward Medical University, Lahore.
The Senior Vice President of the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan and Vice Chancellor of Fatima Jinnah Medical University, Prof Khalid Masood Gondal, was invited as the Chief Guest. The Director General of National Residency Programme CPSP and KEMU Vice Chancellor Prof Mahmood Ayaz graced the occasion as Guest of Honour.
In his welcome address, President of the Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh, Prof Andrew Elder, discussed the history of the Royal College of Edinburgh and its contributions. Prof Khalid Masood Gondal updated the contributions of CPSP to promoting the standards of Higher Medical Education, research, and quality service delivery to patients. Prof Mahmood Ayaz highlighted the history and contributions of KEMU to the fields of medical education and quality patient care. Prof Khalid Masood Gondal in recognition of his contributions to the field of medical education was awarded the honorary fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh. His citation was read by the Vice President of the Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh Dr Susan Pound. Prof Andrew Elder awarded the honorary fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh to Prof Khalid Masood Gondal.
