Six die in road accidents in 24 hours

The Emergency Services Department (ESD) responded to 1,328 road traffic accidents in all 37 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours. In these accidents, six people died, whereas 1,431 were injured.
Out of these, 617 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 814 victims with minor injuries were treated at the incident site by Rescue medical teams.
Meanwhile, two people died in separate incidents here on Tuesday. According to Edhi spokespersons, a 50-year-old man sustained injuries in a road accident near Data Darbar and died in hospital. In the second incident, body of a 30-year-old youth was found lying near a bridge in the Gulberg area.
