In the wake of September 11, 2001 attacks in the US, an unprecedented wave of anti-Muslim bias started taking roots across the European and North American countries. Now, the European Union's Agency For Fundamental Rights has recently released a report in which it outlines the growing anti-Muslim sentiment across Europe.
The increasing incidents of racism reflect Europe's grassroots mindset, which can be stoked at any time to sow the seeds of Islamophobic, racial, and discriminatory violence. The EU must take stock of these developments and nip them in the bud as soon as possible.
