ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari initially proposed the increase in strength of judges that even he discussed during the negotiations on 26th amendment to reduce the pendency of cases in courts so that people get relief and justice.
According to sources, during the talks on 26th constitutional amendment, the proposal was discussed within the party and even negotiations were held with other parties that justice system should be reformed and reduce the pendency of cases and thus there is a need to raise the strength of the judges. However, the sources said though no number of judges was finalised in the initial discussion yet Bilawal Bhutto was of the view that strength should be increased to reduce the pendency of cases so that people get relief and justice.
