Imran to remain in Pakistan even after release from jail: Saif
“Imran Khan has neither looted public money, neither palaces outside country” says Saif
PESHAWAR: Adviser to Chief Minister on Information Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif said on Sunday that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan would remain in the country even after being released from jail.
In a statement issued from his office, he came down hard on those who had accused the PTI leaders of entering into a deal that resulted in Bushra Bibi’s release from jail recently. “History bears testimony to the fact that Nawaz Sharif, Shehbaz Sharif Benazir Bhutto and Asif Zardari left the country after striking deals. But Imran Khan will live in Pakistan even after release from jail,” said Barrister Saif while hitting back at those who had been saying that the wife of the PTI founder, Bushra Bibi, was released from jail on bail as part of a deal. Barrister Saif, who is also the spokesman for the KP government, pointed out that Bushra Bibi continued to remain among the masses after the release. He hoped Imran Khan would be freed from jail as well and remain among his people. “Deals are struck by those who abandon their country and people and leave the country to live in palatial houses abroad,” said Barrister Saif.
He accused the Sharif and Zardari families of acquiring spacious houses outside the country after looting the public money. “Imran Khan has neither the looted public money, neither the palaces outside the country,” said the adviser to the chief minister.
Barrister Saif dared the federal government to disclose the details of the party the PTI was being accused of making a deal. He alleged that the federal government was a fake and by accusing the PTI of striking a deal, it was in fact giving credence to the impression that rulers were not genuinely elected.
“The fake [federal government] tried every tactic against the PTI but has faced a failure,” said Barrister Saif. It may be mentioned here that Bushra Bibi was sentenced to a long jail term at the start of this year. She remained behind bars for almost nine months before winning release on bail.
