On directives of the Sindh government, the Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) has been working on beautifying the facade of various buildings from the FTC Building to the airport along Sharea Faisal.
According to a press statement from the SBCA, the initiative aims to uplift the visual appeal of one of Karachi's busiest thoroughfares, creating a more welcoming and aesthetically pleasing environment for both the residents of the city and visitors.
SBCA Director General Abdul Rasheed Solangi visited Shahrah-e-Faisal on Sunday to review the project's progress. Accompanied by senior SBCA officials, he assessed the ongoing painting and structural enhancement work on 24 buildings within the project’s scope.
The beautification efforts focus on key areas in District Malir and District East, where numerous buildings are undergoing facade improvements. In District Malir, 60 per cent of the painting work on 14 buildings has been completed, with decorative lighting installations planned for the next phase to enhance nighttime visibility and appeal. In District East, painting and repair work on 10 buildings is nearing 75 per cent completion, with detailed facade finishes set to follow in the coming weeks.
