LAHORE: Kaspersky, a global cybersecurity and digital privacy company, has announced a strategic partnership with Transworld, a leading internet and TV service provider in Pakistan, to offer Kaspersky Safe Kids -- a parental control and child safety application.

This partnership aims to enhance online safety for children while giving parents peace of mind by enabling them to monitor and manage their children’s digital activities. The service will be available to Transworld customers via a flexible monthly subscription model, ensuring an affordable price point.

“We are thrilled to join forces with Transworld Pakistan to bring our top-notch parental control software to their customers, and we hope this marks the start of a fruitful, long-term partnership. We believe Kaspersky Safe Kids will help Pakistani parents create a safer, more positive online experience for their children,” added Rashed Al Momani, general manager for the Middle East and Pakistan at Kaspersky.

Key features of Kaspersky Safe Kids include GPS tracking, which enables parents to monitor children’s real-time location, and safe areas, which allow parents to create secure perimeters and set schedules for when children should remain within these zones. Alarms notify parents if a child leaves the area during specified times. Detailed reports on app and web usage keep parents informed of children’s online activities, and the tool enables daily time limits for specific apps to prevent excessive screen time and device addiction. Parents can also ensure safe browsing by filtering inappropriate content, a feature that received top scores in independent AV-TEST and AV-Comparatives evaluations for its effectiveness in blocking adult content on Windows platforms.

Muneeb Rabbani, IT director at Transworld Pakistan, said that partnering with a global cybersecurity leader like Kaspersky allows the company to offer a robust, user-friendly solution for parents who want to protect their children from online risks. “It is part of our commitment to provide world-class services that enhance our customers’ digital experience,” he said.

With the growing use of digital devices and abundant online information, parents are increasingly concerned about protecting their children from inappropriate content and excessive screen time. Kaspersky Safe Kids is a comprehensive tool that simplifies parental control and offers a range of features to safeguard children in today’s digital landscape.
