RAWALPINDI: Hearing in the 190-million pound reference was held in Adiala jail on Friday. Hearing was conducted by Accountability Court Judge Nasir Javed Rana. PTI founder was presented in the courtroom. Lawyer Usman Gul filed a request for exemption for Bushra Bibi’s attendance on medical grounds.
Bushra Bibi is not present and, therefore, the hearing should be postponed until Wednesday, lawyer Usman Gul requested. The NAB prosecutor said that deliberate attempt was being made to prolong the case as 35 hearings had been held but the cross-examination of the last witness of the case was not being completed.
If Bushra Bibi does not come to court, warrant should be issued for her, the NAB prosecutor requested the court. Bushra Bibi has not yet given instructions on the appointment of a pleader, lawyer Usman Gul said. The court adjourned further hearing in the 190-million pound reference until November 4.
