ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) removed objections from bail plea of PTI founder Imran Khan in Toshakhana 2 case besides directing registrar office to fix the plea for hearing again.
The objections were raised by registrar office. Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb remarked that the bail case of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi is similar on law. Bushra Bibi has been bailed out. He gave these remarks during hearing of the petition on Friday. Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb remarked there are objections from registrar office on your petition.
The counsel for the petitioner said bail was granted to Bushra Bibi in this case. The same allegation rests with PTI founder. Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb inquired she was woman and he is man. How can there be rule of consistency. Registrar office has objection that the matter relates to September.
But power of attorney relates to the month of July. Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb called Shah Khawar advocate to rostrum and asked him to assist the court on this matter. Shah Khawar said this is general practice that more than one power of attorney get signed if the petitioner is in jail.
The court while removing registrar’s office objections ordered to fix the case for hearing on Monday. The counsel for PTI founder requested the court to issue notice to the respondents today. Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb remarked law will be followed and adjourned the hearing.
