Inter-school T20 cricket tourney concludes

DIR: The five-day Inter-School T-20 Cricket Tournament concludes in the sports complex here on Friday.

The Allama Iqbal Model School Dir defeated the Quaid-e-Azam School at a thrilling contest in the final.

Assistant Commissioner, Headquarters, Yasser Ali, District Education Officer Zulfiqar Malik, Sports Officer Sadiqullah, president of District Cricket Association, Upper Dir, Sadaqat Ali, local elders, politicians, and cricketers attended the closing ceremony.

District Education Officer Zulfiqar Malik and Assistant Commissioner Yasser Ali distributed shields and trophies among the players.

Meanwhile, a ceremony was held at the deputy commissioner office to honor the seven-year-old champion of the Lahore DHA international running competition.

Azlan Shah, a resident Wari in Upper Dir, had secured first position in the 10 km Lahore International DHA Marathon race. Deputy Commissioner Upper Dir Naveed Akbar, MPA Yamin Khan, and Malik Gul Ibrahim Khan congratulated Azlan Shah on his achievement.
