NOWSHERA: A conflict between Nowshera Press Club President Mushtaq Paracha and journalists Bacha Khan, Gul Samar Shah, and poet Rahim Khan has ended as the former rivals have reconciled.

The jirga convened at the hujra of Inamullah Khan in Nowshera Kalan, included local elders, political leaders, traders, and journalists. The two parties agreed to withdraw all legal cases, marking a new chapter of harmony.

The jirga led by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader, Member of Provincial Assembly, and Chairman of the District Development Advisory Committee (DDAC) Nowshera, Zar Alam Khan.

Bashir Adil, President of the Mardan Press Club, and former Mardan Press Club President, Musarat Asi also extended support to the jirga.

During the jirga, prominent figures such as former Additional Advocate General Muhammad Riaz Khan, lawyer Syed Ansar Ali Bacha, SHO Waqas Khan, Imam Qari Bilal, and community leaders gathered to observe the proceedings.

MPA Zar Alam Khan and Bashir Adil expressed their gratitude to Mushtaq Paracha who entrusted the jirga to lead the process. On the other side, Bacha Khan, Gul Samar Shah, and Rahim Khan admitted their past mistakes, issuing an unconditional apology in a signed document. Both sides agreed to drop all court cases, an outcome hailed as a positive and long-awaited resolution.

The jirga imposed a fine of Rs5 lakh on the second party, stipulating that any breach of the reconciliation terms would unify the jirga members in taking a stand against the violator.

Future administrative decisions of the press club will now be handled in accordance with the club’s constitution by its general body.

Bacha Khan, Gul Samar Shah, and Rahim Khan admitted their mistakes and expressed regret, seeking forgiveness. Mushtaq Paracha forgave them and also waived the fine as a gesture of reconciliation.
