MINGORA: The members of civil society, traders, journalists and government officials on Thursday discussed ways and means at a forum to provide prompt justice to the people.
The forum was organised by the district public prosecutor in collaboration with the Peace and Justice Network Pakistan, focusing on improving access to justice in Swat district. The participants shared their concerns and suggestions to solve issues in an amicable way.
Regional Director of Prosecution, Malakand Division, Syed Naeem Khan addressed attendees’ questions and assured them that their feedback would be seriously considered. Abdul Rahim, president of the Malakand Traders Federation, Dr Mahboob, Shirinzada and Shehzad Alam spoke on key issues. They stressed the need for a First Information Report (FIR) to be registered in the presence of prosecutors.
Syed Naeem Khan highlighted the role of prosecutors as a crucial link between the courts and police, reaffirming a commitment to uphold justice in the region. He encouraged community members to engage openly with his office for guidance, emphasizing that this initiative reflects ongoing efforts to improve the justice system in Swat and address public needs effectively.
