QUETTA: Two miners lost their lives, and one was rescued after a toxic gas leak filled a coal mine in Dukki district of Balochistan on Thursday.
According to district administration officials, the incident occurred on Thursday when three miners became trapped at a depth of 1,400 feet due to the accumulation of poisonous gas in a coal mine.
A rescue operation was promptly launched, during which one miner, identified as Hafizullah, was rescued alive. Unfortunately, two miners, Habibur Rahman and Saifullah, could not survive, and their bodies were retrieved from the mine. Following the necessary formalities, the bodies were sent to Afghanistan.
