RAWALPINDI: Additional District and Sessions Judge Khalid Wazir has sought a report from the Civil Lines Police today (Friday) on an application filed against Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and the superintendent Adiala Jail.
Rawalpindi lawyer Tabish Farooq has taken the stance in the application filed under Section 22A of the Criminal Procedure Code through advocates Malik Faisal and Nabeel Satti that the chief minister threatened to kill the PTI founder. The application was filed on October 24.
Tabish said in the application given to the Civil Lines Police Station that Maryam Nawaz publicly admitted that Imran was involved in sedition and was being eliminated. The jail officials’ behaviour for the last 25 days has proved it to be true since the jail is under the management of the CM.
Therefore, the CM’s statement falls under the category of premeditated murder. Imran is being kept in a small room for the last 10 days and his electricity is turned off. He vomited after eating substandard food, which proves that Maryam wants to kill him and these statements of hers are open threats. Therefore, a case should be registered against Maryam and all the staff assigned to his food and other facilities, including the jail superintendent.
