Rawalpindi win National PD T20 championship
KARACHI: Rawalpindi won the National Physically Disabled T20 championship Grade 2 by crushing Quetta Bolan by 70 runs in the final in Rawalpindi at Army cricket ground.
The tournament was organised by Pakistan Physical Disability Cricket Association with the support of Shahid Afridi Foundation (SAF) and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
Quetta Bolan skipper Abdul Hadi won the toss and invited Rawalpindi to bat first.
Opener Muhammad Arsalan smashed an unbeaten 115 off 57 balls with sixteen boundaries and two sixes.
Huzaifa scored 72 not out off 34 balls with ten boundaries and six sixes.
Quetta Bolan were restricted to 120 for five in their 15 overs despite the heroics of opener Siraj Khan, who scored 45-ball 79, laced with six sixes and seven fours.
Left-arm spinner Abdul Basit grabbed two wickets for 17 runs, while medium-pacer Amir Sohail snapped up two wickets for 31 runs.
Muhammad Arsalan was declared the Man of the Match as well as best batsman of the tournament, Abdul Basit the best bowler, and Abdullah Khan the best fielder.
