Anthro Deptt, QAU, signs MoU with German counterpart
Islamabad: Department of Anthropology, Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), signed here a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Institute of Social and Cultural Anthropology, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU, Munich), Germany.
It is in continuation ofefforts to promote mutual understanding between Department of Anthropology, QAU, and LMU, one of Europe’s premier research universities, founded in 1472 and consistently upholdlng the highest international standards of excellence in both teaching and research.
The MoU was signed at the office of the Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences (FSS), QAU. Prof Martin Sökefeld, Head of the Institute of Social Anthropology, LMU, Dr Zafar Nawaz Jaspal, Dean, FSS, and Dr Inam Ullah Leghari, Chairperson, Department of Anthropology, QAU, signed the document.
Talking to The News, Dr Leghari said that MoU aims at facilitating exchange of students and academic staff, enriching the academic landscape by introducing diverse perspectives and fostering mutual understanding in anthropological research.
