Crackdown on illegal constructions
Rawalpindi: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner (DC), Rawalpindi Hasan Waqar Cheema, enforcement team of District Council Planning Department continued crackdown on illegal constructions, sealed 8 buildings and issued notices against 5 other buildings here on Tuesday.
The District Council Planning Department took action against illegal constructions at Gari Afghana Road and AWC Road in the jurisdiction of District Council, Rawalpindi. The enforcement department faced dangerous situation due to strong resistance by area’s people on the occasion. The enforcement team was led by Building Inspectors Muhammad Waqas and Zohaib Hasan. The District Council Chief Officer Kamran Khan told ‘The News’ that the owners were not taking proper NOCs to construct buildings.
