HK Sixes tourney to begin with Pakistan-India clash
LAHORE: After a seven-year absence, the Hong Kong Cricket Sixes is back, promising fast-paced, high-stakes cricket action.
Scheduled from November 1 to November 3 at the Tin Kwong Road Cricket Ground, the tournament will kick off with a clash between arch-rivals Pakistan and India.
This unique six-a-side format will feature 12 teams split into four pools, competing in a round-robin format.
Pakistan’s team, led by veteran Faheem Ashraf, and featuring players like Asif Ali, Amir Yamin and Shahab Khan, finds itself in Pool C, alongside India and the UAE.
Host team Hong Kong will compete in Pool A with South Africa and New Zealand, while Australia, England, and Nepal form Pool B. Pool D includes Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Oman. The opening match will feature South Africa against Hong Kong, followed by the eagerly awaited India-Pakistan clash.
