LAHORE: The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Punjab has requested the authorities concerned to put Chaudhry Parvez Elahi, president of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former chief minister of Punjab, on the no-fly list, barring him from leaving the country, according to sources.
Elahi is wanted in a case under investigation by the ACE. Authorities want his name on the no-fly list until the investigation concludes, sources added. The ACE spokesperson couldn’t confirm that Elahi had been placed on the no-fly list. Earlier, on October 3, the Lahore High Court had ordered the removal of Elahi, his son Rasikh Elahi and daughter-in-law Zara Elahi’s names from the Passport Control List (PCL). The federal government had initially placed his name on the PCL on June 28, prompting him to file a petition for his removal from the list.
