KARACHI: Fauji Fertilizer Company (FFC) on Monday reported a 45 per cent increase in its quarterly earnings, due to a decrease in cost of sales.
In a statement to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company reported a net profit of Rs22.586 billion for the quarter that ended September 30, up from Rs15.621 billion during the same quarter last year.The company skipped any dividend for this period. Earnings per share came in at Rs17.51, compared with earnings per share of Rs11.92 a year ago.
The company said its turnover for the quarter rose to Rs57.716 billion, compared with Rs52.199 billion a year earlier. The cost of sales also decreased to Rs27.038 billion from Rs32.615 billion.
For the nine months that ended September 30, the company announced a net profit of Rs60.273 billion, up from Rs36.391 billion.EPS for this period remained at Rs46.71 compared with Rs27.89 a share.
