Govt employees in DI Khan advised against unnecessary travel
PESHAWAR: The government employees in the Dera Ismail Khan district have been advised to avoid unnecessary travel, especially to the vulnerable areas due to the law and order situation.
A security advisory, addressed to all the additional deputy commissioners, additional Collector Customs Enforcement, all the assistant commissioners/ additional assistant commissioners and heads of all the Line Departments was issued by the deputy commissioner of Dera Ismail K on Sunday.
“A security advisory letter received from the District Police Officer, Dera Ismail Khan communicated: “Khawarjis” are planning to kidnap Government Officers/ Officials/ LEAs during their movement on Bannu DI Khan, DI Khan-Zhob and Tank Road”.
It continued that due to the sensitivity of the situation, the employees were advised to avoid unnecessary/frequent movement, unnecessary stay during movement, one route for traveling, and the movement to Tank or Waziristan Upper/Lower & Darazinda Road without proper measures. It also advised the officials to not share the schedule of movement to irrelevant persons/departments.
