The global peace forum came into existence in 2009 and since then, it has emerged as a renowned global body striving for peace and solidarity at the international level. Earlier, it held peace marches in many cities in the world.

The latest global peace rally commenced in Costa Rica while it will end at the same place early next year. As of June 26, 2024, 93 countries signed up for the March and 70 nations endorsed the global peace rally.
