Powerful cylinder blast claims two lives in city

At least two persons were burnt alive after a cylinder explosion that occurred at a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder shop located at the Sagheer Centre in Karachi’s Federal B Area in the early hours of Sunday.
Private TV channels reported that according to the police, the blast had occurred due to a gas leak from a cylinder. Rescue teams brought the fire under control after three hours of cooling operations.
Four vehicles of the fire brigade had been used in this operation. Rescue teams said that all the victims of the explosion had been taken to a local hospital.
