PESHAWAR: Kohat Division Commissioner Syed Motasim Billah Shah said on Sunday providing basic facilities to the people under the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Programme “Awami Agenda” was a priority.
While giving a timeline to complete the work on gasification, he directed the authorities concerned to complete the remaining work at the earliest.
He also gave instructions to speed up the process of meterization in Karak so that legal gas can be provided to the people.
The commissioner expressed these views during a meeting with the residents of Nishpa Block who were protesting against low gas pressure.
It may be recalled that the protestors had closed the OGDCL gate and the supply of gas and oil was stopped due to which the people of the area were suffering and the national treasury was suffering severe damage.
Deputy Commissioner of Karak Shakeel Ahmed Jan was also with him. He held successful talks with the protestors, after which the protestors opened the OGDCL gate.
Motasim Billah Shah said that the Awami Agenda was an important programme of the provincial government under which basic facilities were being provided to the people at all levels.
