ISLAMABAD: Another petition challenging the 26th constitutional amendment has been filed in the Supreme Court on Saturday
The petition was filed by Mian Asif under Article 184(3) of the Constitution, making the Secretary Cabinet Division, Secretary Ministry of law and Justice as respondents.
The petitioner prayed the apex court to declare the 26th constitutional amendment illegal and against the Constitution and independence of judiciary. He prayed the court to set aside the amendments for being against the basic structure of the Constitution.
