The Sindh Employees Social Security Institution (SESSI) conducted an awareness campaign on Friday and Saturday in District South and District Keamari, including areas adjoining the port, Hawksbay and Saddar.

This initiative, organised under the directives of the Sindh High Court, aims to inform registered and unregistered labourers about the benefits of the Benazir Mazdoor Card and the Sessi Act 2016.

Director Sessi City-II Malik Zameer Ahmed Awan, along with various officials from Sessi, will conduct seminars and awareness sessions in multiple factories, halls, and commercial establishments. The objective is to educate labourers about their rights and the extensive benefits available to them, including unlimited medical coverage and other advantages for them and their families.

In this regard, the first three sessions have already been conducted on Friday evening and Saturday in various localities of Lyari, Sultanabad, and Keamari. These sessions aim to raise awareness about the mandates of the Sindh Employees Social Security Institution and its revolutionary system, which has the potential to create a healthier society and provide significant benefits to the economy of Pakistan by socially securing laborers and workers under the Sessi Act 2016.

The Sindh High Court is committed to leaving no stone unturned to ensure that every eligible worker in industrial and commercial units, including home-based workers, is registered and receives the protections they deserve.

This campaign highlights how employers can significantly enhance production by complying with the Sessi Act 2016. By ensuring their employees are registered and receiving the benefits they are entitled to, businesses not only contribute to the welfare of their workforce but also foster a more productive and compliant working environment. We encourage all labourers and employers in the targeted areas to participate in these informative sessions and take full advantage of the resources available under the Sessi framework.
