Students’ council sworn in
Islamabad : FG College of Home Economics & Management Sciences, F-11/1, held its much-awaited Investiture Ceremony in their College Hall here on Friday under the dynamic leadership of Principal, Prof. Rozina Faheem.
The prestigious ceremony was graced by two luminaries Mrs Reema Ayyaz Sadiq, wife of Speaker of National Assembly of Pakistan, a celebrated social and political activist, as the Chief Guest, and Ms. Talat Azim, President of the Home Economics Association, Islamabad Chapter, as the Guest of Honour.
Both of these extraordinary women are distinguished alumni of the Home Economics College. The event commenced with the recitation of the Holy verses of Quran and Naat, creating an ambiance of reverence and serenity, followed by a captivating introduction of the esteemed guests. Their presence not only added prestige to the occasion but also served as an inspiration to all present, showcasing the heights that can be achieved through dedication and determination.
The comperes, Ms. Muniba and Ms. Hajra effortlessly guided the proceedings, setting the stage for the eagerly awaited Oath Taking Ceremony. The newly elected council members were adorned with their sashes by the Chief Guest, a proud moment filled with symbolism and promise.
The newly appointed students council, led by Maheen Maryam President, Wajeeha Khan Vice President, Sana Mustafa General Secretary ,Amna Bibi Treasurer along with Secretaries of different societies Shiza Ali Malaika Fajar Jaweria Gull Zainab Raza Aleezay sarfraz Rameen Salim from Performing Arts Art and design, Food and nutrition, Interior and Environmental Design, Human development and Family Studies, Fashion and Textile respectively took a solemn oath to uphold their duties with utmost dedication, integrity, and passion. Merit scholarships and sports winning prizes were also presented to the students of different departments of college.
The ceremony culminated with the Token of Gratitude presented by the Principal, Prof. Rozina Faheem, to the honorable Chief Guests. In her address, Mrs. Reema Ayyaz lauded the principal and the council for the organization of the event and congratulated the newly elected members on their success, encouraging them to lead with vision and commitment.
