CM’s aide insists no deal behind Bushra Bibi’s release

PESHAWAR: Advisor to KP Chief Minister on Information and Public Relations Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif on Friday categorically dismissed the reports of any “deal” behind the release of Bushra Bibi, the wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan.

“This is baseless propaganda by political opponents,” he said in a statement, insisting that Bushra Bibi’s release on bail was not the result of any deal or compromise.

He stated that those who engaged in deals, such as the Sharif family, typically sought refuge in places like London or Saudi Arabia.

“However, Bushra Bibi bravely faced the fabricated charges and, has not fled the country like the Sharif family,” said the adviser to the chief minister.

The adviser condemned the deal rumours and said these were spread by opponents, calling them baseless and merely a reflection of their own desires, unrelated to reality.

Barrister Saif said even during the most challenging times, Bushra Bibi remained a source of strength and determination for Imran Khan.

He emphasized that Bushra Bibi’s arrest was solely an attempt to pressurize Imran Khan but Bushra Bibi became the strength of her husband during these hard times.

It is worth mentioning here that Bushra Bibi was released from the Adiala Jail on Thursday a day after a court accepted her bail plea in the Tashakhana -II Case.

She had remained interned there for almost nine months following her conviction for 14 years in the Tashakhana-II Case on January 31, this year.

Her residence in Banigala and declared a sub-jail and she remained there for three months. Later, she was shifted to Adiala Jail on May 8 till her release a day before.

The wife of the PTI founder received the official protocol when she entered the KP on Motorway-I and reached the Chief Minister’s House in the evening.

The annex at the Chief Minister’s House was vacated to accommodate Bushra Bibi.
