Islamabad : A delegation of the Federal Public Service Commission visited the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education and got a briefing on the board's recent IT initiatives from secretary Dr. Bashir Khan.

The participants said the purpose of the meeting was to encourage the effective use of technology and digital transformation within the education system.

Meanwhile, FBISE director (research and academics) Mirza Ali conducted a comprehensive training session for the faculty of Mashal Degree College, Wah Cantt. The session covered various aspects of assessment, with a particular focus on the recently developed Assessment Frameworks for the National Curriculum 2022-23.

The director said the board continued to lead the way in advancing educational excellence by equipping educators with the essential skills needed to improve teaching, learning, and assessment practices.

“With a strong emphasis on aligning both instruction and assessment with the learning outcomes of the National Curriculum, we're committed to building capacity across its affiliated institutions,” he said.

The director said the frameworks developed by FBISE ensured that assessments are fully aligned with the curriculum’s learning objectives and outcomes, while also addressing the cognitive levels required for each outcome.

“These frameworks effectively bridged the gap between the three critical components of education: curriculum, instruction, and assessment,” he said.
