Need for early breast cancer detection stressed
Islamabad : In observance of the Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Serena Hotels hosted a special awareness session to equip its employees with vital knowledge regarding early detection, diagnosis, and treatment options for breast cancer.
The session featured Dr. Ayesha Isani Majeed and Dr. Saeeda Yasmin, both experts in breast cancer treatment and diagnosis.
They highlighted the importance of early detection and shared details about modern facilities available for mammography, ultrasound, and biopsies.
The doctors also shared important insights into breast cancer detection and treatment, emphasising the life-saving importance of regular screening and self-examinations. The session also included a practical demonstration on how to perform self-examinations, a key method in early detection.
The employees also got the opportunity for testing and consulting with doctors, further enhancing the session's impact. The organisers said Serena Hotels was committed to promoting the well-being of its employees and supporting initiatives that empowered them through health awareness. They said breast cancer awareness was a vital part of not only women's but the men’s health as well, so Serena Hotels provided that platform to its employees to learn from leading medical professionals.
