KARACHI: Kot Addu Power Company Limited (Kapco) has submitted the lowest bid for K-Electric’s (KE) proposed 150 MW solar project, to be set up in Deh Metha Ghar, Sindh.

“Kapco’s bid offers the lowest proposed tariff at 9.83 PKR/kWh (equivalent to 3.4061 cents/kWh at a USD/PKR reference exchange rate of 288.65),” the company informed the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Friday.

The competitive bidding for this project was conducted by KE under the Nepra (Electric Power Procurement Regulations), 2022. The final project award to Kapco remains subject to approval by Nepra, based on an evaluation report by KE’s auction and evaluation committee.
