The Sindh Food Authority, in collaboration with the Assistant Commissioner Liaquatabad Nadeem Aurangzeb, conducted a joint operation in Liaqtuabad and inspected seven water plants. The inspected plants included Uni Fresh, Raza Moya, Aqua Reflection, Thirsty Water Plant, Titanium Water Plant, Mizab Drop, and FZ Water Plant. These plants were deemed non-compliant with health and safety standards.
The water tanks were in poor and unhygienic conditions, with visible fungus present. Filters were found to be dirty and unsuitable for use, and the UV light systems were missing. As a result, improvement notices were issued to all non-compliant plants. A total fine of Rs300,000 was imposed, and five RO plants were sealed.
