SSP attack case
ISLAMABAD: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Imran Khan and Dr Tahirul Qadri in the SSP Asmat Junejo attack case. The case on subjecting SSP Asmat Junejo to violence by enraged persons during sit-ins in 2014 in Islamabad came up for hearing before judge Sohail Ikram of the ATC here on Tuesday.
The court issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan, Pakistan Awami Tehreek chief Tahirul Qadri and other accused for not appearing before it during hearing of the case. The court directed the DSP of respective police station to arrest the persons nominated in the warrants himself and produce them before it.
It is pertinent to mention that cases were registered against Imran Khan, Tahirul Qadri and hundreds of workers and leaders of both parties for violating Section 144 and damaging state property.
