KARACHI: The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) have formed a strategic alliance for the land-sea corridor.
This alliance includes chambers of commerce and industries from 17 regional, sub-regional, and economically significant countries.FPCCI President Atif Ikram Sheikh participated as a founding member in the alliance’s session, held in Chongqing, China.
He highlighted that this is a significant achievement for Pakistan on the international stage. In a statement, Sheikh said that the FPCCI will explore opportunities for investment, joint ventures and trade in sectors such as mining and minerals, information technology and IT-enabled services (ITeS), agriculture and livestock, food processing and storage, infrastructure development, and renewable and alternative energy. Collaboration with Chinese counterparts will be key in driving these efforts forward.
