KARACHI: The Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) has restored the sale and advertisement no-objection certificate (NOC) of Bahria Town, Karachi.
In a letter issued to Bahria Town Private Limited by the Deputy Director of Public Sale Advertisement and Complaint Section of SBCA, it is said that the provisional NOC issued on September 19. 2022 has been reinstated after the approval of the SBCA’s Director General and keeping in view the opinion of the authority’s legal section.
According to the letter, the basis of this restoration of Bahria Town Karachi Project, which covers 16,896 acres, is the layout plan issued and approved by Malir Development Authority on June 13, 2022. However, if there is any dispute regarding the legality and ownership of the land, SBCA will not be responsible and NOC shall stand revoked.
The letter further states that the issuance of NOC depends on the payment of remaining amount of scrutiny fee, which is Rs14.44 million, in two equal installments while the license to the developer will have to be submitted within one month, and after fulfilling the legal requirements, the developer is entitled to get the completion certificate.
