On the directives of Sindh Food Minister Jam Khan Shoro, the Sindh Food Authority (SFA) has seized a significant quantity of substandard food products.

In Hyderabad, a vigilance team conducted an inspection of a spice mill. As a result, over 12,000kg of low-quality spices were seized, including 200 bags of spoiled coriander husk and 100 bags of substandard red chili husk. The owners of the spice mill were fined Rs300,000, and the facility was sealed.

In another operation, a team, under the leadership of Deputy Director Fahad Baloch, conducted an inspection of a sauces and condiments manufacturing unit located in Korangi Creek. Several violations were identified, including inaccurate labelling and the use of expired raw materials. Labels falsely mentioned hazelnuts, while tomato pulp was being used instead of tomato paste. The inspection uncovered 2,000kg of soybean protein and a large quantity of expired products, such as 1,000 kg of starch, 28.8kg of green chili sauce, and other expired ingredients.
