In a car accident in the Clifton area of Karachi on Wednesday, Syed Shahzaib Naqvi, son of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan’s Member of National Assembly Rana Ansar, lost his life, while his friend sustained injuries.
The accident occurred early in the morning near the Clifton Underpass, within the jurisdiction of the Clifton police station. Reports indicated that the two men were travelling in a car that overturned while taking a turn, colliding with the sidewalk. Shahzaib's friend, identified as 30-year-old Ilyas, was injured in the incident.
Both were promptly taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, where Naqvi, aged 35, was pronounced dead due to severe head injuries. According to police, Shahzaib's family chose not to pursue legal action, leading to the completion of necessary formalities.
Shahzaib was the youngest son of the MNA and the late journalist Syed Ansar Ali Naqvi. The family announced that his funeral prayers would be held after Isha at the mosque in Askari IV on Rashid Minhas Road.
