LAHORE:The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) has taken significant steps towards the welfare of its workers while ensuring effective sanitation in the city.
A breast cancer awareness seminar was held for female employees at the LWMC's head office. Chief guest Dr Iqra Waris accomplished the women workers about breast cancer and its prevention. The seminar aimed to raise awareness among participants about the disease, its preventive measures, treatment options, and coping strategies for managing complications during treatment. More than 54 women from the head office and operational teams attended the event. According to LWMC spokesperson Umar Chaudhary, LWMC management remains committed to the welfare of its female workforce. Additionally, Dr Ayesha Parvaiz from LWMC, along with guest speaker Dr Iqra Waris and the female officers, participated in a cake-cutting ceremony. All female employees have been provided with social security cards, and medical support.
