LAHORE: Four crucial matches were decided on the third day of the Lahore Smart City Polo in Pink Tournament at the Lahore Polo Club Ground Wednesday.
In the first match Security 2000 defeated Rejas/Bahris by 7 goals to 4 and half. Muhammad Ali with five goals remained the main performer of the winning team. Mir Huzaifa Ahmed with two goals was the other contributor for the winners.
For the losers who had half a goal handicap advantage, Mohib Faisal Shehzad scored 2 goals while Mumtaz Abbas and Nafees Bahri contributed 1 goal each. In the second match, Master Paints/Sheikhoo Steel prevailed over Crewl Logistics 9-5. Raja Taimur Nadeem and Maria Candrela with three goals each were the main contributors for winners Sufi Haroon (2 goals) and Usman Aziz Anwar (1 goal) were the players who had a share in Master Paints victory.
Crewl Logistics, having two goals handicap advantage had their goals through Ali Quli, Haris Haroon Malik and Maheem Faisal (1 goal each). Newage Cables had an easy sailing over Olympia 9-4. Raja Samiullah starred with 6 goals while Alman Jaleel Azam, Adnan Jaleel Azam and Jade scored once each.
The day’s last match proved a high-scoring affair where Total Nutrition outpaced Nurpur Bandobast 13-8½. For the winning team, Saqib Khan Khakwani emerged as top-scorer as he fired in five fabulous goals while Eesha Haye and Usman Haye thrashed three goals each. Ahmed Zubair Butt banged in a brace. For the losing side, having one and half goal handicap, advantage, the major contribution came from Taimur Hayat Noon with five goals while his teammate Gussey banged in a brace.
