Shaheens storm into T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup semis
LAHORE: Pakistan Shaheens stormed into the semifinals of the ACC Men’s T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup after a commanding 114-run victory against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Wednesday.
Led by an explosive unbeaten knock from captain Mohammad Haris, the Shaheens posted an imposing total of 179/4 in 20. Mohammad Haris anchored the innings with a sensational 71 off 49 balls. He was supported by contributions from Qasim Akram (48) and Haider Ali (32 not out).
In response, the UAE batting line-up crumbled under relentless pressure, managing only 65 runs before being bowled out in 16.3 overs. Shahnawaz Dahani wrecked UAE batting with a match-winning performance of 5 wickets for 12 runs. Dahani also won player match award. Sufiyan Muqeem chipped in with two wickets.
