RAWALPINDI: Ben Stokes’ England side is planning an all-out attack against Pakistan in case the coin turns in their favour with the skipper saying the wicket will take turn as the game progresses.

England batsmen were seen smashing the ball all around during the nets, clearly showing their intent ahead of the decisive Test at the Pindi Stadium.

“We don’t know exactly how the wicket will play, but we’ve taken as much information on its behavior as we can. We think the longer the game goes, the more spin will come into play. Also, with the lush and green square, it’s going to be hard to manufacture reverse swing, so we expect spin to play a bigger role in the game.”

“Yeah, it was the last training session of a long tour, so we just tried to mix it up a bit this morning and get the good vibes going so we just wanted to change things up ahead of our final proper training session and get the mindset right.”

Ben Stokes’ team also plans to make the best of opportunities coming its way. “Playing sedate cricket would not be an ideal way forward on such tracks. Aggressive cricket is all we are planning and have been training keeping in mind that very aspect.”

When asked whether the sweep would be an ideal weapon on the wicket like this, Stokes said Duckett is ready for that. On picking three spinners, Stokes said it was the right way forward considering the nature of the wicket. “Rehan is upbeat ahead of the third Test and is excited to play his role.”
