On September 30, 2024, the shortlisted candidates for the LHV Diploma course were interviewed in various public health schools across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. During the interviews, the candidates were informed that those who were finally selected would be contacted via phone for further instructions. I have learnt that the schools have decided to send the list of selected candidates to the DG Health KP for approval. To our surprise, the approval list is still pending and no final notification has been issued as of yet.
This delay has caused confusion and anxiety among the successful candidates, as they now harbour doubts about their future in the programme. They are concerned that the delay might lead to them losing this valuable opportunity to join the LHV Diploma course. Moreover, the uncertainty may force them to miss chances for admission to other educational institutes for further studies. I urge the KP chief minister and health secretary to take immediate action on this matter and expedite the approval process for the selected candidates.
