ISLAMABAD: Transfers and appointments have been made in the federal bureaucracy. The prime minister has approved the appointment of Shoaib Khan as Director General of Telecom Wireless in the IT Division. The Establishment Division has appointed him on a contract basis for three years on the MP-2 scale.
Mohammad Tahir Rai, an officer of the Police Service of Pakistan in Grade 21, has been appointed as Director General of the National Police Bureau. This is a Grade-22 position; therefore, his appointment was made under Section 10 of the Civil Servants Act of 1973. Mohammad Tahir Rai was previously an OSD in the Establishment Division.
Nisar Ahmed Khan, an officer of the Police Service in Grade 20, has been transferred from the FIA to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.

Mohammad Tayyab Tarar, a Section Officer in the Ministry of Interior and an officer of OMG in Grade 17, has been appointed on deputation for three years to the National Highway Authority. The Establishment Division has issued formal notifications regarding the appointments and transfers.
