PESHAWAR: A six-member gang of robbers was busted and over Rs22.7 million was recovered from them, officials said on Tuesday.
Superintendent of Police, City, Ihsan Shah told a press conference that armed men robbed a businessman Zahir Shah in the limits of Yakatoot Police Station on October 9. The robbers looted over 25 million from the trader and escaped. Police while working out the case, he said, interrogated some of the employees of the trader and suspected statements of some of them.
The cops later, he said, busted the gang having connection with one of the employees. Six members of the gang were arrested and over Rs22.7 million were recovered from them, he added.
