Shafay opens One-Window Operation at PBTE
LAHORE:Provincial Minister for Industry and Commerce Chaudhry Shafay Hussain on Tuesday visited the Punjab Board of Technical Education, where he inaugurated the One-Window Operation and observed the Queue Management System. Chaudhry Shafay Hussain inspected various departments of the board and chaired a briefing session.
While addressing the meeting, the provincial minister said ‘The launch of the One-Window Operation at the Punjab Board of Technical Education is a remarkable initiative. This facility will greatly assist students coming from across Punjab.’ He further stated that the modern Queue Management System would expedite the resolution of applicants' issues. He also directed that the digitisation process of the board be completed promptly.
Shafay emphasised the importance of changing the boards of all institutions under the Department of Industry and Commerce, stating, ‘New boards have been formed with hardworking and professional individuals, which will enhance the performance of the institutions.’ He praised the board’s upgrading process, saying, ‘This has been a commendable upgrade at a low cost.’
Endowment Fund key to players’ welfare: secretary
Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muzaffar Khan Sial presided over a meeting to discuss different features of Sports Endowment Fund at the Punjab Stadium on Tuesday.
Director General Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Pervez Iqbal presented an in-depth briefing regarding the multiple use of Punjab Sports Endowment Fund during the meeting. Addressing the meeting, Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Muzaffar Khan Sial said that the establishment of Sports Endowment Fund is definitely a revolutionary measure and it will play a key role in the welfare of the players. ‘This factor ultimately will prove to be very helpful in the development of sports culture across the province.”
