IGP stresses improving Elite Force response time

LAHORE:Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Dr Usman Anwar chaired a meeting at the Central Police Office and reviewed development and professional affairs of the Elite Police Training School.

The IGP stressed the need for further improvement in training and response time of the Elite Force in the light of threats posed by terrorism and extremism. He asked the authorities concerned to complete ongoing development projects at the Elite Police Training Centre within the prescribed timeline. He ordered the best possible training, food, and other facilities for under training personnel.

Meanwhile, IGP met police employees and their families at the Central Police Office and listened to their pleas. He directed AIG Admin to provide relief to CTD Abdul Qayyum's contract renewal request and forward to Admin Branch for immediate action on Constable Tariq Shaheed's mother's request for recruitment of grandson on family claim. The IGP asked the DIG Welfare to take note of the request of Constable Tahir Mubarak's wife for financial support for the treatment of her husband.
