RAWALPINDI: Harry Brook who has turned Pakistan conditions into his favourite hunting ground is hungry for more runs going into the decisive Test at the Rawalpindi Stadium starting from Thursday.

Talking to the media Tuesday, he said he wanted to finish the series on a high by playing yet another big innings. “I am eager to do more following my triple century at Multan and a highly successful series here in 2022. My efforts will be to make a good impact with the bat here in the last Test of the series.”

But Harry cautioned that the playing track might not be the same as was the case in 2022. “When we played here at the Stadium in 2022, pitches were too flat. Those were ideal conditions for batters to score. This time around the wicket is different.”

The England middle-order batsman hoped to see the playing track at the Stadium taking turn after the second day. “The pitch is dry and is expected to take turn going into the third day. We hope to score big while batting first to help our spinners to take the advantage.

Usually Pakistan tracks are placid but this pitch looks different.” Brook was excited to be part of the team for the decisive Test. “It is always exciting to play in the decisive match of the series. The series stands at 1-1 and there is everything to play for going into the final Test. My effort will be to repeat the performance with the bat when I played here last time.”
