PESHAWAR: A delegation of the Balochistan Education Department headed by Secretary Saleh Muhammad Nasar visited the provincial metropolis on Monday to witness the implementation of reforms and initiatives carried out in the Elementary and Secondary (E & S) Department.
According to an official handout, the aim of the visit was to take the success stories about the engagement of communities for educational improvements and replicate the same in Balochistan.
The delegation was given a briefing by Special Secretary (Development) Asfandyar Khattak, and Deputy Secretary Shazia Atta (Reforms & Initiatives) on the structure and working of Parent Teacher Councils (PTCs) in E&SE Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.The delegation from Balochistan included Abdul Khaliq Achakzai (Chief Planning Officer, School Education Department), Zahoor Ahmed (Project Director) and Umer Orakzai (Pak Alliance for Maths and Science). Masood Ahmed, Secretary of Education, KP, shed light on the different policy decisions taken by the provincial government to enhance the practical working of PTCs to bring quality education throughout the province.
