LAHORE: Pakistan Shaheens registered a comprehensive 74-run win over Oman in a match of the ACC Men’s T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup at the Oman Cricket Academy Ground.

Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Shaheens posted 185 for 5 in their 20 overs. Oman struggled in their response, managing just 111 for 7 in their allotted 20 overs. After a shaky start, with captain Mohammad Haris (3) and Yasir Khan (3) falling early to Mazhar Raza, Pakistan Shaheens regained momentum through a solid 72-run partnership between Qasim Akram (48) and Umair Bin Yousuf (25).

The innings was further boosted by a late onslaught from Rohail Nazir who remained unbeaten on 41. Arafat Minhas scored unbeaten 31 off 15 balls. The duo’s 69-run partnership for the sixth wicket propelled the total to a competitive 185. In reply, Oman’s batters struggled to build momentum against a disciplined Pakistan Shaheens bowling attack. Wasim Ali (28) and captain Jatinder Singh (24) were the only notable contributors.
