The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested a citizen from Lahore in Karachi for attempting to get the United States visa by using fake documents and falsely claiming to be part of a cricket club.

The man was arrested by the FIA's Anti-Human Trafficking Circle in Karachi. The arrested man, who hails from Lahore, was identified as Shakeel Rafiq. He was taken into custody from outside the US consulate in Karachi.

It has been reported that the suspect admitted to acquiring fake cricket club documents from an agent named Sajjad, for which he agreed to pay 32,000 Emirati dirhams. Shakeel had already paid some amount to the agent and promised to pay the remaining amount on the issuance of visa.

The suspect falsely claimed an association with a cricket club while applying for a US visa, but the documents he presented proved to be fake.

Additionally, he was found having no knowledge of cricket. He was unable to provide satisfactory answers to the consulate regarding the documents, leading to his arrest.

The FIA has begun interrogating the suspect, and raids are being conducted to apprehend the agent.
